Nashi Pear Cranberry Sauce | 梨入りクランベリーソース

This is a twist on regular cranberry sauce, and the addition of nashi pear is kind of a fusion between Western and Japanese cuisine. The pear provides a light, fruity sweetness, and reminds me of apple once it’s cooked with the cranberries! If you’re looking for a bit of a change to regular cranberry sauce, this recipe is perfect and can be whipped up so quickly! It’s made with sweet potatoes and is AMAZING. The chicken is rubbed with miso and it drips down into the pan to flavour the sweet potatoes!

Ingredients (makes 2 cups)
❤ 3 cups cranberries (fresh or frozen)
❤ 2 nashi pears, cut into 1-cm cubes
❤ 1 ½ cups sugar
❤ 2 tsp lemon zest

1. Place all of the ingredients into a glass, microwave-safe bowl. Then cover with plastic wrap and microwave on high for 4 minutes. Then stir, and microwave for 4 minutes longer.
2. Be careful when removing it from the microwave – it’ll be hot! Then place this in your desired bowl, and allow it to fully cool to room temperature. It will thicken in consistency once it’s cooled.

❤クランベリー(生でも冷凍庫でもOKです) カップ3
❤梨(1cmの角に切った) 2個分
❤砂糖 カップ1.5
❤レモンの皮の小片 小さじ2
