Rilakkuma Caramel Apples | リラックマのキャラメルアップル

These apples are coated in sweet, sticky caramel and butterscotch which pair perfectly with the granny smith apples that I used as the base. I’ve gone a step farther and have decorated them to look like the popular Japanese character Rilakkuma! He is so adorable just as he is, but I can’t get over how cute these apples have turned out! They came together so easily, and I know that anyone would love to receive one of these wrapped in cellophane as a present on Halloween (or any day of the year, really). For all you girls out there, I’ve discovered that slicing the apple makes eating these WAY more attractive, but I did feel slightly bad for hurting Rilakkuma ❤

Ingredients (makes 6 apples)
❤500g butterscotch chips (or white chocolate chips dyed light brown with an oil-based food colouring)
❤ white chocolate
❤ dark chocolate
❤ 6 jumbo marshmallows
❤ toothpicks

Directions
1. Slice each marshmallow into two half-moon shapes, create 6 half-moon shapes. Attach them to the apples with toothpicks to create Rilakkuma’s ears. Melt the white and dark chocolate, and make Rilakkuma’s eyes and mouth by using the chocolate and drawing it onto a sheet of parchment paper. Then place the sheet in the freezer to set. ☆Allow the bottom, white layer to set in the freezer before drawing on the details with the dark chocolate on top. ☆
2. Melt the butterscotch chips in the microwave, stopping at 15 second intervals to stir. Then dip the apples into the butterscotch and make sure they are fully coated.
3. Decorate them with the eyes and mouth, attaching them with some extra melted chocolate.

酸っぱいグラニースミスのりんごによく合う甘くて、べとつくキャラメルとバタースコッチにかけていて、人気のリラックマにしました!意外にかわいくできま した!とても作りやすくて、セロハンなどに包むととてもかわいいギフトやプレゼントになると思います!リンゴを噛むより、ナイフでスライスするのはもっと 食べやすくて、かわいくて食べられます(リラックマさんにけがをするのはちょっと残念ですけど❤)。

材料(6個分)
❤バタースコッチチップス(または茶色に着色したホワイトチョコレート) 500g
❤ホワイトチョコレート
❤ダークチョコレート
❤マシュマロ 大6個
❤爪楊枝

作り方
①各マシュマロを2つの半月形に切り、全部で6つを作る。爪楊枝でリンゴにつけ、リラックマの耳を作る。ホワイトとダークチョコを溶かし、キッチンペーパーにリラックマの目と口を描く。冷凍庫に置き、固まらせる。☆白いのベースを冷凍庫で固まらせてから、ダークチョコレートで口を描く☆
②バタースコッチチップスを電子レンジで溶かすまで15秒ずつ加熱し、混ぜる。キャラメルアップルの表面の全体にバタースコッチをかける。
③残り溶けたチョコレートでリラックマの目と口を付ける。完成です!
