Quick and Easy Omurice | 簡単で、速く作れるオムライス

This is one of my favourite comfort foods! Popping all of the ingredients into the rice cooker takes no time at all, and you’re left with this warm, soft and super delicious meal that you can eat while snuggling up with a blanket on your couch. If ham isn’t your thing, you could always substitute some canned tuna or salmon, or keep it completely vegetarian! If you’re making this for a friend or loved one, you can be creative with the ketchup squiggle at the end, and draw little hearts or write a little message on the omelette instead! The style that I filmed this video in was inspired by Nigella Lawson, whose cooking shows I love SO MUCH, and the unique mood and atmosphere in all of her shows is something that I really want to try and emulate in my videos one day ❤

Ingredients (serves 2)
❤ 180ml short-grain rice, washed
❤ 1 tbsp butter
❤ 3-4 tbsp ketchup
❤ 1/4 onion, minced
❤ 1/8 cup frozen corn
❤ 1/8 cup frozen peas
❤ 1/8 cup ham, diced
❤ salt & pepper
❤ 3 eggs
❤ 1 tbsp milk
❤ ketchup, for decorating the omurice

Directions
1. Place the washed rice, as much water as needed, butter, ketchup, onion, corn, peas, ham and some salt and pepper into the rice cooker pot, and mix together. Then set the rice cooker to cook on the White Rice or Quick Cooking function. Fluff the rice with a rice spatula when it is ready, and set aside.
2. Beat the eggs, milk and some salt and pepper together until the egg whites have completely broken up and the egg is slightly foamy. Pour half of the egg mixture into a non-stick frying pan and cook on medium to medium-low until the egg is completely set. Spoon some of the rice mixture on top, and wrap the edges of the omelette around the rice. Then flip this onto a plate, and shape it into an oval. Covering it with a paper towel will make reshaping it much easier!
3. Then drizzle some ketchup over top, and serve!

材料(2人分)
❤お米 1合
❤バター 大さじ1
❤ケチャップ 大さじ3~4
❤玉ねぎ(みじん切り) 1/4個
❤冷凍コーン カップ1/8
❤冷凍グリーンピース カップ1/8
❤ハム(角に切った) カップ1/8
❤塩こしょう
❤卵 3個
❤牛乳 大さじ1
❤ケチャップ(飾り用)

作り方
①洗ったお米、適量の水、バター、ケチャップ、玉ねぎ、コーン、グリーンピース、ハムと塩コショウを炊飯器の釜に入れ、混ぜ合わせる。白米コースまたはお腹が減ったら早炊きコース(笑)を選び、スタート!炊きあがったら、しゃもじで混ぜる。
②卵、牛乳と塩コショウ各少々を泡だて器でしっかりと混ぜる。半量をフライパンに流し入れ、中火~中弱火にし、火が通るまで焼く。ご飯を卵の上にのせ、卵に包む。皿に移し、キッチンペーパーをかぶせ、オムライスの形にする。
③ケチャップをかけると完成です!
